Donations to Pentz Run...

The per diem paid by the placing agency covers the basics for the residents: room & board, supervision, transportation, etc.  Anything extra, such as community activities, recreational equipment, school supplies, indoor activities such as games, craft supplies, puzzles etc. is purchased when we have a surplus or donations.

Each year we are fortunate to have generous groups in the community to assist in providing:

·         School supplies

·         Christmas gifts

·         Holiday meals

·         Backpacks

·         Special quilts

·         Special outings

·         And many other things

We have also been lucky enough to be the recipient of some grant money that assisted in the replacement of our roof and some repairs to our building.

Our annual Golf Tournament is our main fundraiser and all money earned from this goes into our building/expansion fund.

Any other donations we receive are appreciated and helpful to the residents and toward our future expansion.

Fundraising Goals

Pentz Run participates in a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year and benefits from several charitable organizations.

Currently we are working toward an expansion project that has been on the back burner for several years now.  In 2012, we opened our Transitional Living Program, consisting of 2 efficiency apartments with the ability to house 2 older youth with independent living goals.

We have found that many of our residents could benefit from this program, but lack the space to accommodate them.  Our goal is to expand this program with another building to house more youth.

Our plan is to construct a building with a main living area and kitchen, utility room and 6-8 bedrooms.  We have looked at many options for this building and feel that while stick built may take longer and cost a bit more, we will likely end up with a better and longer lasting building.

We are setting a fundraising goal of $300,000.00 for this project.  All monies donated or raised for this project will be added to this account.  We have approximately $43,500 at this time that has been raised through past fundraisers or donations.
